Earl Lewis joined Kohler in 1944 at Monarch Laboratories with the intent of growing the business and began recruiting distributors across the United States. Under the direction of Lewis, Monarch Laboratories made strides in developing new fragrance technology that is used industry wide today.
In 1965 Jack Kohler passed away. Robert Demming purchased Kohler’s share and became Earl Lewis’s partner. In 1970, the business name was changed to Odorite of America and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri.
Jim Summers, a dedicated and successful Odorite distributor in Kansas City for ten years, purchased Odorite of America from Bob Demming and Earl Lewis in 1986.
In March 1991, Dan Bunch with a partner purchased the company from Jim Summers. Late in 1994, the partnership was dissolved and Dan Bunch became the sole owner. Dan served as CEO Until January of 2012 when upon his passing, Dan's daughter Brenda Bunch and the VP of Sales Ray League took over the helm.
